The Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running is a three-day race weekend, from Good Friday to Easter Sunday. It takes place across the island, not in a single town. The festival begins with a 10K in Port Erin and Port St Mary, followed by hill races in Peel, and concludes with races on Douglas Promenade. The event caters to runners of various abilities, featuring road racing, a climb, a flat 5K, and a men’s relay within the same long weekend.
The Port Erin 10K begins at the harbour, uses the coastal footpath towards Port St Mary, and returns to Port Erin. Saturday’s Peel Hill Race starts and ends by the House of Manannan, with distinct distances for men and women and a climb up Peel Hill. Sunday moves to Douglas for a quick promenade 5K and a 4 x 5K men’s relay, before the festival ends with a prize presentation and the traditional beer races.
