About this race
The Kelvingrove Park 5k/10k is a September running event in Glasgow, taking place within Kelvingrove Park. The start and finish are located near the Bandstand on Kelvin Way. Both the 5k and 10k distances begin simultaneously at 10 am. The 5k involves completing two laps of a 2.5k circuit, while the 10k requires four laps of the same circuit. Participants collect their race packs at registration on Kelvin Way. A bag drop facility is available nearby, and toilets are situated beside the Bandstand.
The circuit is clearly marked with kilometre indicators, directional arrows, and marshals. Runners are responsible for tracking their own laps. A water station is positioned on Kelvin Way around the 2.2km mark. This means 5k runners will encounter it twice, and 10k runners will pass it four times. Up And Running Events is the organiser. Nuffield Health conducts a brief warm-up session prior to the start. Upon finishing, participants receive a medal and post-race items after crossing the finish line. Race photographs are typically uploaded to Facebook within a day or two.
