Macclesfield Running Festival October 2026

The Macclesfield Running Festival takes place in October in Macclesfield, Cheshire, offering 5k, 10k, and half marathon distances. All races commence and conclude at the athletics track within Macclesfield Leisure Centre. They feature chip timing and are conducted on entirely closed roads, providing participants with a controlled road-racing environment instead of a park-style circuit. The courses are level, single loops that are professionally measured. They depart from the town and proceed onto country roads in the Cheshire area. Local bands perform along the route, aid stations are available to support runners, and spectators congregate in the communities along the way. Macclesfield Harriers AC also contribute to the event's operation. All finishers are awarded a medal, complimentary race photographs, and post-race items.
