About this race
The Beach Esplanade serves as the start and finish: a flat, accurate race designed for runners focused on performance, not sightseeing. It is chip timed and conducted under Scottish Athletics rules, offering the atmosphere of a club event that prioritizes fast times and serious competition.
The route follows public paths, eliminating road crossings, simplifying the runner's task: find your pace, maintain rhythm, and utilize the flat terrain effectively. Chipped bibs are distributed on race night at Transition Extreme Sports. The competition includes a course record bonus of 200 for the first male and female to set new Metro course records.
