Monsal Trail March Half Marathon & 10K 2027

The Monsal Trail March Half Marathon & 10K is a traffic-free spring race held at the former Bakewell station site in Derbyshire’s Peak District. Participants can select either the half marathon or the 10K. The event takes place across Saturday and Sunday, with the option to compete on one day or both. The multi-terrain, undulating route is suited for runners seeking variety beyond a flat road race. It also serves as a beneficial event for spring marathon training, particularly for those desiring race-day effort without vehicular traffic on the course. The course utilizes the Monsal Trail, a former Midland Railway line now a path for running and walking through the Derbyshire Dales. Runners will pass through four railway tunnels and cross the Monsal viaduct, the race's most recognizable feature.
