About this race
Dunbeath to John O Groats marks a direct conclusion to a demanding Scottish test. This single-day road ultra, introduced in 2028, also serves as Day 9 of the "end to end challenge of Scotland," part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series. While the event name references "Myths & Legends of SCOTIA," the objective is straightforward: continue north until the route concludes.
Expect road running along the Highland coast, with the sea consistently in view. Participants include ultra runners completing the full Scotland sequence and others joining specifically for this final leg. The atmosphere among runners should reflect a focused, determined effort. Finishers receive a custom race medal, with optional race t-shirts and hi-viz jackets available to commemorate the event.
