About this race
Craignure, by the ferry terminal, immediately sets the island tone for this race weekend. Registration is held here, and the starts are from the Isle of Mull Hotel and the Fishnish Road end. It is a friendly local event with 35 years of history, held in a notable location. Fast runners and others share the same route without issue. The "World Famous Abbey on This Beautiful Island" is also a nearby attraction for those extending their visit.
The routes both finish at the Salen Hotel in Salen. The newer route from Bowman Court by the hospital features a challenging course record for those aiming for a prize. Many participants will be there to "get those legs a-moving," ranging from competitive athletes to those "out for a bit of a challenge to get to the other end in basically one piece." It has become an island tradition for all ages, with Tobermory, the "Balamory and wildlife town," nearby if you decide to stay longer.
