Rabbit Run Wales 2026

Rabbit Run Wales guides runners across the private grounds of Merthyr Mawr Estate on the South Wales coast, within Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve. This July trail-running series offers a 12K race of approximately 7.5 miles, a full marathon, a 65K ultra, a five-leg marathon relay, and junior races ranging from a 100-metre toddler dash to 2K and 4K family runs. The 12K begins before Merthyr Mawr House, following trails, hills, valleys, a river crossing, and the Big Dipper, Wales's highest sand dune. The marathon incorporates the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, featuring cliffs, coves, and extensive coastal vistas, while the ultra covers the 12K and marathon routes before continuing along the coast for a circuit of Llantwit Major. The relay allows teams to divide the marathon course into five distinct legs, enabling mixed-ability groups to navigate the extended route.
