About this race
Race For Life Nottingham is a summer charity running event held at Victoria Embankment in Nottingham. The start and finish are on grass next to the River Trent. It provides 5K and 10K distances. The 10K begins earlier in the morning, with the 5K starting later, accommodating those who prefer a shorter charity run and those seeking a longer option.
The course is flat, incorporating a mix of terrain around the riverside location, not just a simple road run. As a Race for Life event, its primary aim is fundraising for cancer research. Participants include walkers, joggers, and runners, not exclusively competitive club athletes. Past results for both the 5K and 10K are published, establishing an official race record while maintaining an approachable atmosphere.
