About this race
The River Wyre 4 Mile Run is a new four-mile race in Stanah, Lancashire, starting at 11:00am from River Wyre Country Park within the Wyre Estuary Country Park. It is a short road-and-path run, with a point-to-point route from the country park toward Skipool Boat & Yacht Club.
The course uses newly completed footpaths and stays firm underfoot, with concrete and tarmac forming the surface. A light grit covering is added for safer footing when conditions are wet, suiting runners who want a compact, straightforward race without rough trail terrain. Charity fundraising is part of the setup, with runners able to raise money through GoFundMe.
