RunThrough Newcastle Half Marathon & 10K - July 2026

The RunThrough Newcastle Half Marathon & 10k begins and ends at Kingston Park Stadium, home of Newcastle Red Bulls Rugby Union. Both races start in the morning on closed roads, avoiding park paths or trails. This July event offers a half marathon for distance runners and a 10k for those seeking a shorter, timed road race. A 3-hour cutoff is in place because of the temporary road closures. The course travels through rural lanes near Newcastle Airport and Dinnington, providing a route on the city's outskirts rather than a central loop. The event partners with Newcastle Frontrunners, the city’s largest inclusive running club, open to LGBTQ+ runners, allies, and the community. Newcastle Frontrunners incorporate the race into their Pride Month awareness efforts. Participants receive a themed medal, chip-timed results, free race photos, and post-race items. Food and drink are available at the event village, and an optional technical T-shirt with the event logo can be purchased.
