Rye Summer 5k Series, Race Five

Race Five of the Rye Summer 5k Series is an evening 5k held at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in East Sussex, starting at 18:30. This race concludes the series, maintaining a straightforward format: an accurately measured, flat, fast tarmac 5k course conducive to quick times, provided the wind is calm. The route crosses a British coastal conservation area, featuring shingle ridges, saltmarsh, reed-beds, saline lagoons, and intertidal grazing zones within the reserve. The event is suitable for both novice runners and seasoned club athletes, and includes a chip-timed Junior Run. All 5k finishers will receive a bespoke medal, and junior finishers will also receive their own medal.
