About this race
The Joust is an off-road loop race on private farmland, with 24-hour, 12-hour, and six-hour options, all starting at noon on Saturday. The 24-hour race can be run solo or in teams of 2, 3-5, or 6-8. The 12-hour challenge offers runners a clear objective: cover 50 miles before the time limit. The J6 is the shortest version, requiring at least one lap within six hours.
The course is an approximately 5.5-mile loop, mostly flat, clearly marked, and marshaled, designed for easy navigation as participants complete it throughout the day and night. Minor adjustments may occur between editions since the route is on active private farm land. Solo runners achieving 100 miles receive the Joust Buckle, and teams must reach 200 miles for the same award. A Kids Joust is also featured, incorporating an inflatable rope maze into the course.
