About this race

South Downs National Park provides the setting: Beachy Head, the Seven Sisters, Friston Forest, and the "famous white cliffs of Beachy Head" feature prominently. UK Ultra South Downs Seven Sisters offers a rugged trail experience rather than a refined road-race production, with non-technical, runnable trails and "views to die for" offering ample distraction when fatigue sets in. The routes are "beautiful but challenging", combining swift grass trails with farm tracks, woodland paths, undulating climbs, and steeper sections that require careful navigation. First-time trail runners, walkers, and ultra runners navigate the same terrain. The courses are designed so that most participants finish around the same time, transforming the finish line into "quite a party" with commentary, food, music, massage, drinks, and supporters gathered in the final area.
