About this race
The Chilterns provide the race's structure: wooded areas, undulating hills, and the well-known Thames riverside, with Hambleden village and the Thames Path integrated into the route. Sidley London Revolution Trails offers a genuine point-to-point trail experience rather than a refined road event, the type where the scenery is gained on chalk inclines, secluded valleys, and ascents that require effort before the running resumes.
You begin with a riverside pace, then enter the woods before the course prompts you to “Conquer the challenging Chilterns and the twisting Thames Path.” After the tougher terrain, it descends toward the gravelly Thames Path, passing Dorney Lake, and continues towards Windsor Racecourse, where ultra runners and amateur athletes converge in the same festival area with inflatable structures, a climbing wall, bars, food vendors, and live music.
