About this race
The Southwold Half Marathon is a 21.1 km road running event in Suffolk, on England’s east coast. It starts and finishes on Southwold promenade, with the route using Southwold and neighbouring Walberswick rather than staying inside one town. The race is a seaside half marathon with chip timing included for every entrant, and finishers receive a bespoke medal.
The course offers runners a coastal setting from the first and last metres on the promenade, then sends them around the Southwold and Walberswick area. Regular paid entry sits alongside charity places for EPIC Norfolk’s Dementia Campaign, where runners commit to raising at least £150 and supplying one race marshal. That charity setup makes volunteering part of the entry model, not just a background extra.
