Supernova Kelpies 5K Saturday

The Supernova Kelpies 5K on Saturday is an evening 5K run held at Helix Park and The Kelpies in Falkirk. It begins at 8:00 PM from the FK2 7ZT area. GSi Events organises the race, which centres on the concept of running at dusk alongside the two large Kelpie horse-head sculptures, each 30 metres tall and weighing over 300 tonnes. The route allows runners to see the Kelpies and the surrounding park up close. The dusk timing connects to the folklore of kelpies, mythical water spirits that emerge as daylight diminishes. Entry is open to all, with participants under 15 requiring adult accompaniment. Each runner receives an LED head torch to use during and keep after the run, along with chip timing, a medal, a recovery pack, a training plan, and results available online within 48 hours.
