The Maverick Jurassic Coast Trail 2026

The Maverick Jurassic Coast Trail is a trail-running series on Dorset’s Isle of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast, offering five route choices up to 100km. The longest option begins at Hardy Monument, proceeds along the South Dorset Ridgeway to Osmington, and then connects to the South West Coast Path. Other participants start near Corfe Castle, with the 50km route crossing marshland before heading toward the coast. The routes incorporate well-known paths and landmarks in this area of Dorset. The 100km course goes by Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, then links into the Ultra route from Corfe. The Ultra and Half Marathon routes pass Old Harry’s Rocks and follow coastal ridgelines on the Purbeck Way. The Ultra continues past Winspit Quarry to the steps at St. Aldhelm’s Head. Runners also join the Hardy Way, pass Corfe Castle, descend Knowle Hill, and finish to the sound of Maverick cowbells.
