The MTC Cotswold Ultra
Thursday, August 6, 2026 · Kemble, United Kingdom
Distances
91km
About this race
Kemble Station marks the start: a short walk to the Thames Path and its source, then returning past the beginning and continuing through Somerford Keynes and Cricklade. The MTC Cotswold Ultra is a point-to-point event for ultra runners. Historical results suggest it's a race where participants aim for a serious performance, not just a lengthy run.
The course alters its proximity to the river: passing Castle Eaton, moving away near Blackford Farm, then returning before Lechlade, with sections described as "over meadows" and "taking in several meanders". Expect "pretty bridges and locks" instead of straightforward running, with Shifford Lock, Newbridge, and Bablock Hythe preceding the finish at Travelodge Oxford Abingdon Road. Only adults may enter, aid stations are practical, and the unique elements include a MTC head visor at the start, a custom medal upon completion, and trophies for the first male and female finishers.
