About this race
From St Anthony Head on the Roseland Peninsula to Porthpean in St Austell Bay, this is coastal path running with very little softness baked in. The RAT is part of a summer run festival built around challenging coastal runs on the stunning South Cornwall Coastal Path, and that pretty much tells you the bargain: big sea views, hard legs, and no hiding from the terrain.
The races are off-road along the Cornwall Coastal Path, so expect narrow trail, constant changes of rhythm, and climbing that arrives in pieces rather than one neat hill. It draws runners of every ability, but the character is still honest trail running: pick your effort, respect the coast, and be ready for a finish that feels earned rather than handed over.
