The Rathfinny Christmas Run is a 10K race held in late December at Rathfinny Wine Estate, near Alfriston in East Sussex. It begins and ends by The Tasting Room. The event is limited to 75 runners, with entry restricted to local residents. It is a cupless race, requiring participants to provide their own bottle or cup. The local-only entry and car-share parking policies are implemented to reduce travel and ecological impact on the vineyard.
The course consists of two 5K loops on the estate, crossing hilly trails and cambered paths through the vines, offering expansive views of the South Downs National Park. Water is available only at the start and finish points, where the race headquarters is also located. A portion of each entry fee, £8, is donated to WOLO, a local cancer charity. MedEx Plus provides medical support, donating their services to the event.
