Trailspire Ultra 2027

Trailspire Ultra is a timed-loop trail ultra held in February at Callendar Park, Falkirk. Rather than a single fixed distance, participants complete laps of a marked 4.14-mile route, accumulating their total distance before the time limit. The loop incorporates woodland trails, park paths, undulating terrain, and varied surfaces around Callendar House. Individual runners can aim for marathon distance or more, while two- and three-person relay teams share the laps. The course was designed by Stuart Paterson, a past winner of the Scottish Ultra Trail Championship, and the format appeals to runners who appreciate a straightforward base with continuous effort for each mile.
