About this race
Tunnel Vision is a 5 mile run on the Brampton Valley Way near Market Harborough, with runners heading out and back on a flat, hard-packed trail. The race is built around darkness: it has evening and early morning options, and everyone needs a head torch because the route includes the largely unlit Oxendon Tunnel.
The tunnel section is 422 metres long, so the race feels different from a standard trail 5 miler without being complicated underfoot. The course is fully marked, with marshals and first aid cover, and the simple layout suits experienced runners as well as people who want a short race with an unusual twist. Runners can choose the night run, the dawn run, or both; the early option adds sunrise views along the trail. Finishers receive a medal, leading runners get prizes, and refreshments are provided after each run.
