Waterside Half Marathon 2026

The Waterside Half Marathon begins and ends in Ebrington Square, starting at 9:30 am for its 13.1-mile course through Derry. Organized by Derry City & Strabane District Council, this September event welcomes runners, wheelchair athletes, and three-person relay teams. The course crosses the river to the cityside, utilizing parks, greenways, and bridges before looping back to Ebrington Square. Participants in the half marathon must be 17 or older on race day, while relay team members must be at least 15. With over forty editions completed, this event is an established fixture.
