Βαλτινές Διαδρομές

Valtines Diadromes is a road-race series beside the Inachos River in Halkiopoulo, Valtos, Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. It takes place in August as part of the village’s week of cultural events, starting in the early evening. The organizer is the Halkiopoulites Association of Athens-Piraeus, “Saint Andreas the Hermit,” and this is the fourth consecutive edition. The route details are limited, but the setting is clear: runners race next to the river in and around Halkiopoulo, with the local community and volunteers assisting. Organizers report growing participation, which is why they wish for the races to remain within the cultural-events program. Electronic timing is used, so even though the event is community-based, runners receive formal results.
