The 85km Ultra is the main event at Evrytania Trail Races, a six-race mountain running series held in Domnista, Evrytania, Greece. It begins before dawn in late May, with participants having 18 hours to complete the course, meaning even the quickest sections occur during daylight hours in the mountains. The distance covers 85 km, featuring 4,600 meters of elevation gain and an equal amount of descent.
The course follows Evrytania's fir-covered trails. Organizers characterize this inland mountain region as one of Europe’s three cleanest ecosystems. Participants will pass through traditional villages and can cool off in the Krikellopotamos river. However, the 85km event requires self-sufficiency, as there are no aid stations along the route. The race is organized by the E4-TO PANTA VRECHEI club.
