About this race
The Evia Island Bike Adventure is a mountain-bike trip on Evia, Greece's second-largest island. The island stretches approximately 180 km, largely mountainous, with Dirfi as its highest peak at 1,743 meters. The riding season aligns with warmer months, offering bike rental support at the port of Eretria from April to October. This is an island ride on dirt roads, featuring climbs, sea views, and varied terrain, rather than a city race or closed-course event.
The route crosses wild areas of Evia, climbing towards the Dirfi foothills. An early ride covers about 29 km with roughly 830 meters of elevation gain and loss, primarily on dirt roads with some asphalt. Another stage begins with a transfer to Steni Dirfyos, then proceeds on an open dirt road towards a mountain hut overlooking Dirfi. From this elevated position, riders can see nearby islands such as Skyros, Skiathos, and Skopelos, blending mountain exertion with expansive Aegean vistas.
