Thousands of runners participate in the Kallithea Night Run, illuminating El. Venizelou Avenue with headlamps after dark. This annual October road event in Kallithea, part of the Athens urban area, offers 10K, 5K, and 2.5K distances. The Filathlitikos Association of Kallithea-Moschato-Tavrou, in conjunction with the Municipality of Kallithea, organizes the event. It is held under the auspices of entities such as the Region of Attica, SEGAS, the General Secretariat of Sports, and BeActive Hellas.
The start and finish lines are located at Tzitzifies Square. The course follows the central avenue from the Poseidonos Avenue junction towards Agia Eleousa Church. All routes are certified by AIMS International and World Athletics, ensuring accurate measurements for both short family distances and official road races. Typically, over 3,500 participants, including children, families, club runners, and elite Greek athletes in track and long-distance disciplines, take part. The event's motto is "Let's light up Kallithea," and it also supports social causes and ORAMA ELPIDAS, the Vision of Hope association, through a portion of its proceeds.
