Brasov Running Festival

Historic thoroughfares, woodland sections, and panoramic views give the Brasov Running Festival more character than a standard road race. Established in 2021, it has developed from elite road racing with the goal of bringing thousands of people together on the streets. The main event is significant: the tRUNsylvania International 10K is listed on the World Athletics calendar as Southeast Europe’s primary elite athletics competition. The appeal is speed, with organizers openly discussing “one of the fastest courses in the world” and a field that makes personal records seem achievable. Amateurs, children, experienced runners, and professionals participate over the weekend, but the competition at the front is intense, featuring elite status, prize money, TV and streaming, and international focus.
