Below Solymári Castle, the II. SzalamandRUN Futónap takes place at the edge of the Buda hills, offering a genuine trail-running atmosphere instead of a manicured road-race feel. The event focuses on "nature-close routes," mixed age groups, and a field that can include children, first-time participants, casual runners, more experienced athletes, and seniors over 60, all sharing the same race center. Expect forest dirt paths with some paved sections, indicated by painted arrows, ribbons, and signs, with the start and finish located again near the castle. Participants on longer courses must carry a phone and water, suggesting a more demanding run. All finishers receive a medal, with adults and children scored separately.
