Full moon race

Castle Hill, Water Town, and the Danube-side bicycle lane define the Full Moon Race's after-dark atmosphere. The race center is at Szent István Strandfürdő, with the start on Kis Duna sétány. This is a summer night run where runners compare headlamps rather than split times, though Pentathlon racers can earn points here. The route passes through Mindszenty hercegprímás tere, Molnár sor, Papnevelde utca, Sötétkapu, Szent István tér, and Horváth Géza sor. It then turns onto the bicycle road, returning via Sobieski sétány to Kis Duna sétány. Participants should anticipate a "cobbled road section" and "unlit sections on the bicycle road," making a headlamp or other light essential. Unique features include night bathing at Szent István Strandfürdő post-race and a "Firefly award for the brightest racers."
