7. Grossglockner ULTRA TRAIL

Kaprun hosts the 7. Grossglockner ULTRA TRAIL, a mountain ultra challenge in the Alps, circling Austria’s highest mountain. This is a demanding alpine run, drawing ultra runners and mountain-running enthusiasts into Grossglockner country, with routes connected to Weissee-Gletscherwelt, Kals am Grossglockner, Hohe Tauern National Park, and Heiligenblut. The long course starts and finishes in Kaprun. Other race options begin from locations such as Enzinger Boden at Weissee-Gletscherwelt or Kals, with all routes returning to Kaprun.
