Below Solymári Castle, III. Családi Futónap Páty offers a trail-style day out on the edge of the Buda hills. It accommodates varied routes and age groups, recognizing that participants have different goals: children, adults, runners over 60, beginners, casual joggers, and those seeking a more challenging effort all have a place. The atmosphere is close to nature, with an environmentally mindful setup instead of a large-city road-race feel.
Expect forest dirt roads and asphalt sections, making it a course where shoes with some grip are advisable, though you won't be deep in mountain terrain. The route is marked with painted arrows, ribbons, and signs. Longer distances require participants to carry a phone and water. All finishers receive a medal, and the finish area provides practical comforts: timing, refreshments, a shirt, post-race photos, a downloadable certificate, and warm food.
