Starting from the Faluház on Petőfi Sándor utca, this autumn performance hike ventures into the rugged, scenic terrain of the Palotai Bakony. The IX. Tés Római-fürdő - ősz teljesítménytúra is described as “the most popular sporting event in the Palotai Bakony,” with the appeal being straightforward: “you can hike through the most beautiful part around Tés.” It offers a feel more akin to a local trail day focused on forest, rock, and old upland tracks, rather than a formal road event.
The route showcases “two different worlds”: the Gaja Stream gorge valley, featuring Római-fürdő as one of the tour’s highlights, and the Tési Plateau, noted as a place “where kings once hunted.” Expect a crowd focused on the course, with Gaja-völgy Association members and volunteers managing the event, and a family-friendly atmosphere, as children under six participate for free. A notable characteristic is its local focus, including Vacakol Vacok and a donation drive for the Tés kindergarten.
