Mátra Maraton is a Hungarian mountain bike marathon held at Oxygen Adrenalin Park in Gyöngyös-Sástó, within the Mátra mountains. It functions as an off-road endurance event offering multiple distances instead of a single race: 90 km (long), 60 km (medium), 30 km (short), 13 km (mini), and a 60 km E-bike category. The event has a history spanning nearly 25 years and returns as part of the XCM Pro Tour following a five-year hiatus.
At its height, Mátra Maraton attracted around 1,500 participants, positioning it among Hungary's largest established mountain bike races. Vuelta Sportiroda managed the event 19 times from the early 2000s to the early 2020s, until declining entries and increasing expenses led to its suspension for multiple seasons. The race also featured a strong competitive element: it achieved UCI C2 status twice, contributed points to the Hungarian Cup and Top Maraton Series, and once included a two-day format with its inaugural short-track cross-country race.
