Badacsony and the Balaton Uplands National Park define the Tanúhegyek Trail 34 km, a true trail race across volcanic witness hills, not a road race with some unpaved sections. Depending on the chosen route, participants ascend five, three, or one of these hills, offering clear views of Lake Balaton and the Balaton Uplands bathed in autumn hues.
The start and finish are located at Halászkert in Badacsonytomaj, establishing a central point before runners tackle the ascents. Expect participants drawn by the challenging terrain, the scenic vistas, and the reward of conquering them; the shortest course accommodates dogs. A thoughtful gesture concludes the event: the timing-chip deposit can be given to aid the Üröm Animal Shelter.
