XII.Dráva Félmaraton

From Barcs Town Hall to Heresznye, the XII. Dráva Half Marathon has the feel of a small local point-to-point road race where the logistics are as much a part of the day as the running. It is the twelfth edition, organized out of Heresznye, with the main field heading out from Barcs and the shorter support races integrated along the way rather than treated like an afterthought. The course information is simple, but the named starts give it character: the short race goes from Bolh Main Square, while the sprint sets off by the Heresznye village sign. After the finish there is a village-race rhythm: results ceremony, runners transported back to Barcs, and every half-marathon entrant receives a shirt, a finisher medal and lunch. They even award the youngest and oldest competitor, which suggests the crowd is likely mixed and local rather than polished and anonymous.
