The 10 Marathons in 10 Days is a summer race series held at the gym in central Gozzano, a town at the southern end of Lake Orta in Piedmont, Italy. Each day begins at 8 AM, with participants selecting from 10 km, half marathon, marathon, or 50 km distances, alongside a non-competitive 10 km option for companions. The structure is adaptable, allowing individuals to compete on any day within the 10-day period or schedule rest days as preferred. All distances have a 9-hour time limit, and early starts are not available.
The course encircles Lake Orta, featuring approximately 85% asphalt and 15% dirt paths, with municipal water stations positioned about every 2 km. The race village and neutral zone are located at the Gozzano gym, providing single servings and half-liter bottles. The lakeside environment offers views of beaches and San Giulio island. Organizers also provide guided tours, boat excursions, visits, and dinners for participants and their families. Medals are awarded to finishers for each marathon completed, and a small trophy is given to those who finish the entire series.
