3° Ultramaratona Lago del Salto 2026

Ultramaratona Lago del Salto begins in Borgo San Pietro, Petrella Salto, leading participants into the Cicolano region surrounding Lago del Salto. This is the third year for the event, put on by Rieti Marathon Italia with assistance from OPES Comitato Rieti APS. The race offers multiple distances: a 68 km ultramarathon, a 42.2 km marathon, a 34 km race, a competitive 10 km, and a non-competitive 5 km walk. The 68 km route is for ultra runners. The marathon and 34 km races provide a challenging event for trained distance runners. The 10 km is noted as fast and technical. The 5 km walk is open to amateurs and families, broadening the event beyond pure endurance. The location is a key attraction: roads and trails around the lake and the Cicolano, with the water and hills defining the course's character.
