35° Corsa delle Castagne 2026

The Mitica Corsa delle Castagne is an 11.5 km race held in Fivizzano, located in the Massa-Carrara province of northern Tuscany. It takes place on a Sunday morning in November, with the adult race commencing mid-morning from the Bar Platani area. The event is organized by Castello di Montichiaro and is part of the Corrilunigiana circuit, also honoring the Memorial Franco Codeluppi. The main course follows roads and local trails within the Fivizzano municipality, characterizing it as a compact local race rather than a large urban event. A children's race is also featured, offering separate youth rankings in addition to the overall and age-category classifications for adults. A recent edition attracted 80 competitive runners and over 30 children, even with adverse weather conditions, indicating its typical participation: club runners, local families, and nearby sports groups all participating in a small Lunigiana race connected to chestnut season traditions.
