The Baroque Race is a road race held in southeastern Sicily each July, centered on Ragusa. The race is named for the UNESCO-listed Baroque towns along its path: Ragusa Ibla, Modica, and Scicli. These towns were reconstructed in an ornate late-Baroque style following the region’s historical earthquake.
The course runs linearly from one town to the next, without returning to the start. It offers a point-to-point road race through the Val di Noto’s stone streets and hill towns. The event’s historical context makes it a recurring race, listed by edition rather than as a singular occurrence.
