About this race
The BIM Triathlon Olimpico GOLD is a triathlon held in Bellaria Igea Marina, on Italy's Adriatic coast near Rimini. It is on the official FITRI calendar as a regional circuit race with a swim ranking. The format is 1,500 meters swimming, 40 kilometers cycling, and 10 kilometers running. The race is scheduled for mid-June, with women and men starting in separate morning waves.
The event is for licensed triathletes, but athletes without federation membership can enter through a daily membership option. The race day has the feel of an Italian club race: race-pack pickup opens the afternoon before and again early on race morning, the transition area has a fixed morning check-in window, and the overall time limit is 3 hours 45 minutes. After racing, there is a pasta party before the awards, and the village includes bike service and wetsuit rental. Athletes also get reserved parking at Parcheggio Mercato Ittico, keeping pre-race logistics close to the Bellaria Igea Marina race area.
