About this race
The Dolomitica Brenta Bike begins and concludes in Pinzolo, located in Trentino's Val Rendena. This mountain bike Gran Fondo is part of the Trentino MTB circuit and takes place in June. Participants can choose between two primary routes: the Marathon, covering 72 km with 2700 m of elevation gain, and the Race Classic, spanning 45 km with 1600 m of elevation gain. While some sources list slightly different distances for the longer and medium routes, the official race documentation specifies the 72 km and 45 km options.
The Marathon route ascends into the Brenta Dolomites, featuring technical terrain at high altitudes rather than a straightforward valley circuit. The Classic route passes through Madonna di Campiglio and includes a section on the 3Tre ski slope, a well-known name in alpine skiing. The event is organized by Comitato Organizzatore Dolomitica and is part of the broader Dolomitica series of outdoor activities, directed by Michele Maturi, which includes biking, e-bike, running, and children's events. Participants receive standard race-day amenities expected at an Italian MTB fondo: chip timing, aid stations, showers, bike wash facilities, a race bag, and a pasta party. One edition is scheduled to host the Italian MTB Championship for firefighters, adding a distinctive element to the participant roster beyond that of a typical open fondo.
