The Est! Est!! Est!!! Marathon is a mountain bike marathon held in Montefiascone, Viterbo province, Lazio. It takes place near the end of the Italian granfondo season. The name derives from the town’s well-known Est! Est!! Est!!! wine. The race is a challenging off-road course; the main route covers 52 km with approximately 1,700 meters of elevation gain. After numerous editions held in summer, it shifted to late autumn, attracting a larger late-season field. A recent edition saw over 200 participants.
The marathon is closely linked to the regional cycling calendar. It concludes the Maremma Tosco-Laziale circuit and contributes to the New Marathon Lazio series, drawing participants aiming for series standings and those seeking a final major race before winter. The Maremma Tosco-Laziale circuit originated at the turn of the century, and the Montefiascone race has developed alongside it for about twenty years. The event also features summer preview races for younger cyclists, fostering a broader club atmosphere beyond just the main marathon participants.
