About this race
Giro del Mito is a cycling granfondo held in Bagno di Romagna, within the Tosco-Romagnolo Apennines, featuring routes through the Foreste Sacre. Taking place in June, it provides both long and short road courses, allowing participants to select a challenging mountain route or a more accessible option of the same event. River22 Sporting Club is the organizer, and the race is part of the ACSI cycling circuit.
The series explores the concept of cycling legends: Italian cycling heroes, Apennine scenery, and the roads that elevated riders beyond typical athletic endeavors. A non-competitive gravel ride, introduced in the second edition, accommodates gravel bikes, e-bikes, and mountain bikes, using GPX navigation on trails and unpaved roads. Participants receive essential granfondo amenities, including chip timing, parking, showers, changing facilities, bike washing stations, rest stops, a race pack, and a post-ride pasta party.
