Gran Fondo San Gottardo

Gran Fondo San Gottardo is a Swiss road-cycling gran fondo in the Ticino Alps, with the main hub listed around Ambri and Airolo. It runs in late August and is designed for riders seeking a challenging mountain day over a flat sportive: the long route is approximately 113 to 115 km with about 3000 m of climbing, while shorter options are around 42 to 53 km depending on the edition. The classic long course starts and finishes at Airolo train station and includes three major passes: Gotthard, Furka, and Nufenen.
