The Gran Trail Valdigne 100Km is a July mountain ultra held in Italy's Valdigne district. The 100 km route passes through Courmayeur, Morgex, La Salle, La Thuile, and Pré-St-Didier. This main race operates under semi-autonomy, requiring runners to carry essential gear and manage their own provisions between aid stations. It features an ascent of approximately 5,420 to 5,600 meters and has a 28-hour time limit, classifying it as a demanding alpine ultra rather than a simple long trail run. The event also offers a 57 km trail race with 2,600 meters of climbing and a 16-hour limit, alongside the K2000 vertical race.
