About this race
The Granfondo Sestriere Colle delle Finestre begins in Sestriere, a mountain cycling town in the province of Turin, and takes place in early July. This road cycling granfondo, now in its eleventh edition, offers two primary distances: a 103.6 km Granfondo with 3,170 meters of elevation gain and a 79.0 km Mediofondo with 2,370 meters of elevation gain.
Both routes ascend the Colle delle Finestre, a challenging and respected Italian cycling climb, and incorporate roads featured in the Giro d’Italia, such as the Colle del Sestriere. The course crosses the Alpine regions of Val di Susa and Chisone, reaching the highest points of the Via Lattea ski area. For three hours during the event, the road to the Colle delle Finestre is closed to vehicles. The event also features a Gravel Race, an Assietta Legend category, and a Baby Cup, attracting participants beyond granfondo riders seeking a demanding mountain challenge.
