2026 Gubbio Spartan Beast

The Gubbio Spartan Super is a 10 km obstacle race featuring 25 obstacles, held in the spring in the Umbrian hill town of Gubbio. Known as the “city of stone,” Gubbio provides a unique setting. This is not a stadium-style course; it's a Spartan race set within a medieval town with stone streets, ancient walls, and steep terrain. The Super is positioned between the 5 km Sprint and the 21 km Beast in the Spartan race series. The event draws thousands of athletes, spectators, and obstacle race enthusiasts to the Gubbio region, with participants traveling from Italy and internationally. In addition to the Super, the weekend includes the Sprint, Beast, a Kids race (1-3 km), and Hurricane Heat events of 4, 12, or 24 hours. Gubbio has committed to hosting future Spartan races through an agreement with InnovACTION 11. The event is typically scheduled for April, unless a European Championship edition is hosted, in which case it moves to September.
