2027 Orte Spartan Beast

The Orte Spartan Super sends runners under the historic cliff of Orte, a hill town in Italy’s Teverina area, for a 10km obstacle course race over an April weekend. It is part of the Rome, Orte Spartan Weekend, based around Via dei Calafati, 4, with Sprint, Super, Beast, and Kids races on the same program. The Super mixes trail running with Spartan obstacles and fits runners who have already handled a Sprint or a road 10K. The wider weekend gives newer racers a 5km Sprint, while the Beast stretches to half-marathon distance with 30 obstacles and plenty of climbing and descending. Orte returned to the Spartan calendar after several years away, drew more than 6,000 registrations and competitors from over 50 countries, and was confirmed again while the previous edition was still underway.
